Golf Gadgets on the Market

Forget diving into a two-hour tutorial on how to improve your swing, how to read your lie, or how to get your mindsetspinning into pro mode.

Today's golfers are getting down and dirty with a myriad of golf gadgets - accessories designed to improve play by giving you stats like a commentator watching your every move on the course.

Cars aren't the only beasts being installed with GPS systems. Golfers pack those gps (Global Positioning Systems) in their bag so they can find everything with ease.

Electronic ball trackers make sure you never have to drop and take a penalty because a little beeping gadget will let you hone in on your ball even if it's hiding behind a tree and under a pile of leaves.

Wait - is this fair? According to the golf courses, it is! Which do you prefer - the good old-fashioned way of taking your strokes, or the new and improved method of using designer enhancements to make the game easier on you?

Even Golf Clubs Are Going High-Tech

Woods used to be woods. Literally. They had wooden shafts, wooden heads. Now they use high-tech materials to create your drivers, irons, and putters.

You have to know the difference between titanium, zinc, aluminum, steel, and more. How are each of these going to affect your swing?

And golf clubs aren't just woods and irons anymore. They mixed them up like some frankenstein experiment and wound up with hybrid golf clubs - a little like a driver, a little like an iron.

All of these changes are designed to help you stay out of the rough, in the fairway, and right down the middle - farther than you imagined possible, too!

Ever Heard of the Shotwatch?

What Else Is on the Golf Gadget Horizon?

Are you a traveling golfer who plays different courses all the time? There's software that lets you download information about:

  • All 18,475 Golf Courses in the US
  • 1,600 Driving Ranges
  • 3,500 Off-Course Golf Stores
  • 9,000 Golf Instructors

There's a digital putter that tracks your entire putt from grip to follow-through. Would this be distracting to see a tiny screen on the putter head?

There's also arcadegolf - where you can set up your fauz golf mat and ball and use your own clubs to swing and then evaluzte how your shot would have turned out.

There's no end to the wave of high-tech golf gadgets that are coming out to the market to help us learn how to drive farther, stay in the fairway, and putt with fewer strokes.

Just stay tuned into what's coming out and you'll be able to find something that shaves strokes off your own game!

I think there are is lot of golf practice equipment that golfers can use to help improve their games. My favorite is my digital yardage finder. With this simple digital device I have been able to narrow down precisely how far I hit each golf club. This has allowed me to score better and lower. Good article! http://golfvideos.chrisgolfer.com/videos-to-show-h
